Discipline & Defense

Ethics complaints and professional malpractice claims can derail a legal career. A quick and aggressive response can make a huge difference. Contact Ethics Law to discuss your options.

Disciplinary Matters

I have had over a decade of direct experience with the disciplinary process and understand the important aspects of addressing ethics complaints and the litigation necessary to resolve formal ethics proceedings. Addressing these matters early in the process can make a huge difference.

Expert Witness

I have extensive experience in analyzing ethical rules and understand the difference between an ethical violation and the duties owed to clients and third parties. I also have a broad understanding of many different practice areas through private practice and through an analysis of thousands of ethics complaints. An expert is a necessary requirement in a legal malpractice defense and can be instrumental in an attorney disciplinary proceeding. Legal Malpractice Defense

The development and implementation of an effective defense against a legal malpractice claim requires a broad knowledge of the underlying area of law and the legal and ethical obligations an attorney has to his or her clients. I have litigation experience in numerous areas of law practice and have analyzed ethical issues in nearly every legal practice area. Ethics Law recognizes the negative impact a legal malpractice claim may have on an individual or firm’s reputation and strives to pursue an efficient means to expedite all claims. We take pride in defending all legal malpractice claims in a sensitive and highly confidential manner.

Legal Practice Monitor

The use of a practice monitor is sometimes a requirement in the disciplinary process. Ethics Law utilizes effective practice management guidance to assist lawyers who require a practice monitor. This process is designed to strengthen those areas that caused problems in the past and mitigate risks to avoid future ethics complaints.

Rehabilitation & Reinstatement

The road to recovery after the suspension of a law license can be daunting and overwhelming especially when the recovery requires attention to self during its initial stages. Ethics Law has dedicated a portion of its practice to helping attorneys recovering from drug or alcohol abuse to get back on their feet. Ethics Law can assist lawyers with proper planning prior to and during the reinstatement process.
